Getting Acquainted with Divine Substance

When I have talked with some people about their prosperity, or lack there of, they sometimes talk as though substance was just about everywhere but where they are.
It is a common belief, especially when a person is experiencing a “lack attack,” that they are somehow cut off from the divine flow of substance. And too often, they are not aware of divine substance as the prospering energy that is actually their supply. (Money is the name we usually call substance.)
Often, too, they tend to judge by appearances as they look at their bank account total, or what they seem to have or do not have. Especially their attention is on what they seem to lack. It’s like looking at the hole instead of the donut.
This is an error in that Universal substance flows into the mold which is made with the mind. We live in a very friendly, all-providing Universe and its natural tendency is to give us what we hold in mind regardless of what that is. It is wise, then, to hold thoughts and images of abundance, to have a rich consciousness.
This may seem difficult to do in the face of apparent lack, but the quicker this can be done, the better. Eric Butterworth said, “The important thing is to hold to the awareness that you are created in substance, formed of substance, and ceaselessly supported by substance.The free flow of substance in your life is the continuation of the divine effort that made you in the first place.”
The golden key to living prosperously is to get so intimately acquainted with Divine Substance to the point that you absolutely know that you live in a sea of it. Therefore, you know you are always richly and abundantly provided for, and you are. It is nothing less than Love at work! – Lovingly, Rev. John
