– Faith Is Essential to Experiencing Miracles –
“All things are possible to him who believes.” – Mark 9:23
Faith is belief in the possible when appearances say something may be impossible
There have been quite a number of situations in my life when, judging by appearances, there was no way that things could work out favorably, but they did. One of those times was when I was trying to get to Unity School for my first four-week study session. I was given the affirmation, “The Spirit of the Lord goes before me making easy and successful my way.” Upon speaking this word, over and over, I just knew that I would be going to the next session, and I did.
Another time was when I was trying to buy my present home with no money down and poor credit. I was amazed how people came to help and necessary money was provided. During the process, I believed with all my heart that everything would be in order, and it was. It seemed like a miracle, but miracles happen when we get in harmony with God and believe we receive. That is the way faith works.
Jesus said:
“Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” – Mark 11:24.
What He meant by this is, when you have a desire to achieve a goal; to experience healing or some other good, know with all your heart that your desire is yours. Believe and accept that you are now one with your desired good. Often when people asked Him to heal them or another person, He would inquire of their faith.
When the woman who had hemorrhaged for 12 years touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, he said, “Your faith has made you well.” She believed with all her heart that by just touching His garment, she would be healed, and she was. This is symbolic of touching with your mind, the Christ consciousness, your golden key to miracles.
Whatever you desire, believe with all your heart that God is not only able to provide that for you, but is doing so now. Then cooperate with His laws and principles in faith that all that the Father has is yours, which it truly is. Your part is to desire your prize, whatever it is, believe you receive, and act as though it is already so. It is! – Lovingly, Rev. John
