A Needed Change!
During this Lenten Season it is a good time to make some needed changes in our thinking regarding our health. It seems that society, for the most part, believes that sickness and health challenges are a natural part of life – they are to be expected. Thank God for the medical profession and even the pharmaceutical companies for all they do to help people stay alive. However, there is another way, one that is worthy of serious consideration. The Truth is, we are not just human beings. We are spiritual beings and therefore we are created perfect. If we don’t block our perfection through erroneous thinking and behavior, we experience perfect health.
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, was an outstanding example. Early on she was taught to believe that sickness was inherited. For many years she was considered sickly. She had inherited sickness and believed this was true. Doctors said she would not live more than a few months. It was then that she and her husband, Charles, listened to a Dr. Weeks, who was a metaphysician, say: “You are a child of God therefore you do not inherit sickness.” You can just imagine the joy that filled her heart when she heard those words. From that time forward she knew she was, in truth, whole and perfect. Affirming and accepting this every day, within a couple of years, her body was completely healthy.
Now is a good time to give more attention to believing the Truth Unity has taught for over 125 years. You are a child of God, a spiritual being. You are naturally perfect, whole and healthy. For the rest of this Lenten season, affirm, accept and live this Truth: I AM A SPIRITUAL BEING. I AM PERFECTLY WHOLE AND HEALTHY NOW.
Let go of old, false beliefs. Rather than give so much attention to appearances of illness, or believing you must take every precaution to stay well, accept that you are perfect, whole and healthy now. Each time, after affirming the above statement, be still and feel the joy of this Truth. There is nothing more for you to do except enjoy it! – Lovingly, Rev. John
Then God said, “let us make humankind in our image,
according to our likeness.” – Genesis 1:28

The Truth About Supply!
I grew up during the so-called great depression. I say so-called because there was nothing great about it. We had to do without a lot of things. It taught me that lack was real, which took quite a while to learn that abundance is real, not lack.
Unfortunately, many people, even today, believe that life is meant to be a struggle, and they must scrimp and get by the best way they can. The opposite is true. Regardless of how many people struggle financially, that doesn’t make it a natural part of life. The truth is, we live in an abundant Universe comprised of everything needed to live prosperously.
During the Lenten Season, it is a good time to release and let go of beliefs in lack, and along with it, pessimistic and negative thoughts and feelings regarding supply.
“Supply is the most sought-after goal in today’s lifestyle. Many people are concerned with the cost of living, inflation, the job market, and the high cost of housing and escalating taxes. Because of these fears and social tensions in our contemporary world, many have lost sight of our innate divinity and spiritual origin. Wrong thinking has produced these thoughts of lack and limitation, failure and frustration.” (From: Mystics of the Bible – Their Success Secrets for You. Based on the philosophy of Emmet Fox.)
The Truth is, there is just as much spiritual substance now as there ever has been, and It is within you and all people. The way to access this all-providing Divine Supply is by turning within, quieting your mind, allowing yourself to be aware of It; affirming and accepting It; inviting and allowing It to fill your being. Then, to act as though Abundance is the true reality it is.
A change in habitual thinking may be required, however, the effort is worth it. You will discover that this magnificent Spiritual Supply is nothing less than Love. Love knows exactly how to prosper you and loves doing so. Now is the time to let Love do what it is best at! Lovingly claim and accept that abundance is your nature and a natural part of life. – Lovingly, Rev. John
