Rev. Tina Brown comes to Golden Key Ministry-Unity with a Love of Ministry, Prayer, Teaching and Spiritual Education.
An Arkansas native, Rev. Tina is a mother of four children, ages 10, 12, 14 and her oldest son, Nathaniel, age 26, who lives in Georgia. She was a foster parent in the state of Arkansas for four years, fostering a total of 9 children and earning over 300 credits of foster parenting education, specializing in foster care, child safety, sexual, verbal and physical abuse, parenting children with disabilities, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, social and behavioral disorders.
Rev. Tina began her ministry work in 1981, as the Music Director of Unity Church of Practical Christianity in Little Rock, Arkansas. She served in music ministry for 23 years prior to entering seminary at Unity School of Christianity in the year 2003, at Unity Village, MO. She was licensed and ordained with the graduating class of 2005.
She not only has a background as piano accompanist and music minister, she was a professional singer for 33 years. Rev. Tina says that music has always been a companion and healing experience that feeds her soul and is a form of prayer and communion with the Holy Spirit. Her love of music comes from a gospel background deeply rooted at church during her childhood.
Her ministry background includes pioneering Unity Center of Truth in 1999, where upon graduating from Unity School of Christianity, she served as the Senior Minister for 6 years. She has also held the positions of Associate Minister of Unity Church of Little Rock from 2011-2014, Co-Pastor of Celebration Church of Sherwood, a non-denominational charismatic church, 2011-2013 and most recently as Associate Minister of Unity of Phoenix Spiritual Center, where she was in charge of the Spiritual Education Department and Special Events from May 1, 2014 to July 31, 2017. She also served as Interim Minister of the Youth and Family department and directed the children’s choir from January 2015 to January 2016.
She has a 38-year background in custom design and sewing, specializing in wedding gowns and formal attire. Being of an entrepreneurial spirit, she opened her bridal boutique, Custom Designs, in 1999, serving clients throughout the US. She closed her boutique in 2014 when she moved to Scottsdale AZ, to work full time in Ministry.
Rev. Rev. Tina is very familiar with Emmet Fox’s writings, especially the Golden Key. She brings a wealth of traditional Unity teachings to Golden Key Ministry-Unity.
