Thought and Feeling

Emmet Fox, in his treatise called, The Mental Equivalent, said that it is essential to have clearly in mind what you want and to give a lot of thought to it. However, he also said that feeling is even more important because it is through feeling that your good is demonstrated.

When you think very positively about achieving your desired good, you exercise the great power of thought, but unless you have the feeling of success; of actually having your desire, it may be delayed or possibly blocked.

This means that you should have a good feeling concerning your desired achievement rather than thinking very positively while entertaining negative, doubtful feelings about it. Some times a person will think they believe that everything is working out as they have conceived, but have a negative, dis-believing program running beneath the surface. In other words, they may have an unconscious feeling of failure.

The way to think and feel correctly is to give more time to positive prayer and quiet meditation in which you practice the presence of God. God is your love and wisdom, faith and peace. The more you practice the presence of God in this way, the more powerful is your thought and feeling. In Truth, you are thinking God thoughts and feeling God love. When this happens, you are invincible. The good you desire is yours. You know it because you feel it! - Lovingly, Rev. John
