Preparation for Easter - Lesson Two

The Three Positive As: Acceptance, Approval, Appreciation

Last week I invited you to refrain from the three terrible Cs, Condemnation, Criticism and Complaining through Easter. If you started, how are you doing? This is a "piece of cake" for those who do little or none of the 3 Cs. For others, it might be challenging, but worth the effort. (If you did not receive last week's E-Zine, ask and you will.)

When something is let go of, it is always good to put something positive in its place. So, let's put our focus on the three As: Acceptance, Approval and Appreciation.

Accept, right now, that you are a wonderful child of God, worthy of all the good that God has for you. Created in the image and likeness of God, you have all of the qualities of God: Light, Love, Wisdom, Intelligence, Power, Beauty, and Absolute Good.

Being made of all that God is makes you very special and the same is true for all children of God. Knowing this makes it easy to accept yourself, and everyone, as something special.

God approves of you. God couldn't do otherwise. If He dis-approved of you, it would be dis-approving of Himself. Since God is love that would be impossible. God as love always approves of His creation. He knows it is only good and worthy of the best.

This understanding should make you feel real appreciation for God, yourself, and everyone. The same is true for everything. Dale Carnegie said that we should speak up with praise and appreciation. It's a good idea to do this often.

You don't really need to tell God you appreciate Him, but it's a good idea. And, appreciate yourself, everybody and everything.

Replacing the three terrible Cs with the three positive As will do wonders for your peace of mind, human relationships, the health of your body and financial affairs. It will make living positively easier and happier. -- Lovingly, Rev John
