The Swing Doors of Hell - From the writings of Emmet Fox

Heaven and hell are states of consciousness, the net result of our beliefs and feelings at any time. Neither are places to go after death. The truth is that both hell and heaven do exist, but they are states of mind which may be experienced right here on earth now.

Heaven is when you have true peace of mind and an adequate understanding of life. When you are full of fear, anxiety, hatred, or physical pain, you are in hell.

Whether you are to live in hell or heaven depends solely upon your predominate thoughts. Fortunately, with a little effort, you can train yourself to make heaven-like thinking a habit.

The doors of hell are swing doors. They have no locks and they swing in or out at a push. Going inside is a choice you make and you can also choose to come out again.

The way out of hell is to begin thinking thoughts of health, happiness, and success right now, and to keep it up throughout the day regardless of appearances.

If you will do this, with determination, you will be through the swing doors and out of your difficulties before you know what has happened.

Choosing to live in heaven is always the right choice. The secret is to turn the Golden Key often which means to keep focused on God and give no power to seeming problems. God is love and when you live in love, its heaven! - Lovingly, Rev. John

Prayers Help! - Thank you for your prayers, especially for my increased prosperity. They surely are helping. Today I received a phone call from a man I had done some work for. I thought it was as a volunteer since I had received no remuneration for it. The seminar I was promoting for him had to be cancelled at the last minute, so there had been no commission paid. However, he called today to tell me that he was sending $250.00 to me to cover my expenses and to compensate me for the work I had done. I have received other financial blessings, and my health has improved, too. Your prayers are certainly working. I am enclosing my tithe in support of your good work. - J. R. - Georgia
