Put God First!

If you want to prosper, if you want to be positively alive, it is imperative that you put God first in your life. Take a few moments and write a list of some of the areas where you may not be putting God first. If you worry, you are not putting God first. Neither are you putting God first, if you let the things of the world take up space in your mind. In other words, it is essential that you think of God instead of problems.

The reason for much of the present national, and world, financial situation is that greed and money has been put ahead of God. This means that the focus has been in the wrong direction. There is nothing wrong with money except how people think about it. Therefore, its not money thats at fault, it is thinking. Change is needed. A collective change in thinking is needed. We need to actually put God first in every area of life.

How do you put God first? Here are several ways.

1. You put God first by giving your first thought to Him when you awaken each morning. You can do this, by simply saying Good morning God! Or, by just thanking Him for the new day.

2. You put God first by giving time to prayer and meditation early in the day.

3. You put God first by practicing the Presence of God throughout the day.

4. You think and act as though God is really present. Well, HE is, so think and act like you really believe it!

5. You put God first by acknowledging that HE is the source of all supply -- in particular --- YOUR supply.

6. If there is something you need guidance for, you go to God first and ask, then listen, and follow through on the guidance you receive. Or, you just proceed knowing you that you are divinely guided.

7. You put God first by tithing. This means to tithe your time, talents, and money. When you dedicate 10% of your whole income to Gods work, and faithfully follow through, the whole universe responds to your action. Tithing is prayer in action. It is a way of spiritualizing substance causing it to move more dynamically in your life and financial affairs and create a greater cash flow.

8. You put God first through gratitude. There is great prospering power in being genuinely grateful for everything, and expressing your gratitude, first to God, then in other ways. Thank you God, I am grateful declared often, is a powerful way to increase your blessings. Thats because it is love in expression. - Lovingly, Rev. John
