How to Be Recession-Free!

Catherine Ponder, author of The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, and many other Prosperity books, once told me that there is never a recession among the rich. By that she meant that they just didn't give thought to lack. You might say, "Well, that is fine for the rich who have plenty of money to weather a downturn in the economy, but that doesn't apply to me." If so, your focus is on lack instead of abundance. The key to being recession free is to have a consciousness of plenty.

Emmet Fox wrote: "You can get all the money you want for any wise purpose through treatment. (Prayer) There is no need for anyone who knows how to treat to be in money difficulties. But you must treat. The first thing necessary, is that you should be genuinely convinced that it is the Divine will for you to have all that you need. If you have any lingering doubts on this point, they will make it difficult for you to demonstrate, and in that case you must begin by treating for wisdom."

With this in mind, it is always wise to know that, regardless of what anyone else may be doing, or the shape of the economy, there is always plenty for you, and everyone. That is true because you live in an extremely prosperous universe. Remember that God is everywhere present and He is your source, so all of His vast riches are always where you are.

A significantly important key to living recession-free is to tithe. Tithing directly connects your finances with God's infinite supply. When you tithe, you know that you have God as your Partner, and God never fails. You know that His provision for you is always adequate, and much more than you could ever use. Tithers do not buy into fear. Fear is a major cause recession. When you tithe you have peace of mind because you know you are secure in the faith that God will provide for you regardless of what is happening in the world. You do not strain and strive. You tithe and thrive! You are recession-free, first in mind and then in manifestation. This is making practical use of the Law of Attraction. Your abundance consciousness attracts abundance to you.
